Associates Annual Meeting and Reception

4 p.m. (registration begins at 3:30 p.m.)
Plan to attend the Associates Annual Meeting at the museum. The business meeting in Daniels Auditorium will be followed by a talk by writer Sharyn McCrumb on her novel The Ballad of Tom Dooley and a book signing. A reception honoring members of the state legislature will begin at 5:30 p.m. Open to all Associates members. 12th Annual African American Cultural Celebration

Join us for the statewide kickoff to Black History Month and celebrate our state’s diverse African American heritage and culture! Over 75 musicians, storytellers, dancers, historians, playwrights, authors, artists, reenactors, chefs, teachers, scholars, and more will be on hand to help tell the rich and varied stories of our state. It’s educational and fun for the whole family.
