Genealogy Award

Valerie Bailey of Homeschoolers Unfolding History, Public Library of Johnston County and Smithfield, Smithfield, received this year’s Genealogy Award for her project “Discovering My Family History: A Combination of Four Family Trees.”  Family history has always been important to Valerie, and she loved listening to her grandparents tell her about their lives. Valerie did the genealogy project to share what she learned with others, and she hopes that more people will be encouraged to do the same. Elaine Forman is the Homeschoolers Unfolding History adviser.
