2009 Annual Convention Scenes

Youth Preservation Award

Judges for the 2009 Youth Preservation Award were so impressed with this year’s entries that they decided to award first, second, and third places in the category. First place goes to the Freaks of History, Moms of Stonehenge, Raleigh, Sally Bloom, adviser, for its entry, “Raleigh City Cemetery: A Grave Situation.” Second place was awarded to the Pepsi Cola Kids Club, The Epiphany School, New Bern, Cille Griffith, adviser, for its entry, “The Fordham Cemetery: A Forgotten Legacy.” The Trailblazers, Christian Homeschool Association of Rocky Mount, Elm City, Melody Godwin, adviser, received third place for its project, “Preserving History through a Needle.”
