Family Day: North Carolina’s Coast: Working the Waters

Celebrate North Carolina’s rich coastal heritage and culture! Singer and storyteller Connie Mason, North Carolina Sea Grant, and the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum will join many other presenters.
- Hear fish tales and sea songs.
- See and talk with decoy carvers, crab pot makers, and other craftspeople.
- Learn about lighthouses and make one of your own.
- Sample seafood and traditional dishes.
- Make a fish print, repair a fishnet, and try other fishy crafts.
- Talk to fishermen and fisherwomen.
- Learn about state historic sites and museums on the coast.
- Win a prize in a scavenger hunt.
