June Programs at the N.C. Museum of History
As always, summer activity is buzzing at the N.C. Museum of History in Raleigh. For example, Family Day: Toys and Games on June 11 offers something for all ages. Watch Tar Heel Toymakers at work, see toys from North Carolina’s past, play games, make a toy, and much more.
During a lunchtime lecture on June 8, learn about soul musicians in North Carolina. Jason Perlmutter, founder of CarolinaSoul.org, will highlight both famous and obscure soul artists.
Several slots remain open in the museum’s summer camps, which get rave reviews from kids and parents every year. Check out all of June’s offerings at the N.C. Museum of History.
All programs are free except summer camps, and a $5 donation is suggested for the First Friday event on June 3. Parking is free on weekends.
