The North Carolina Museum of History Foundation is grateful for the continued support of our many donors!
With your help, we are able to reach visitors both in the museum and across multiple digital platforms with exhibitions, education and community outreach programs, and cultural festivals. Donors also help the Museum with the conservation and preservation of artifacts important to North Carolina's history. Find out more below about these specific areas where YOU are creating an impact in your community.
Exhibitions: including the development of new in-house exhibitions; the procurement of traveling exhibitions; and the preservation of permanent exhibitions.
Education: including the Notable North Carolina lecture series; the annual Foundation Distinguished Lecture Series; the Tar Heel Junior Historian Clubs and Gallery; and the variety of digital programs now offered by the Museum.
Festivals: such as our annual American Indian Heritage Celebration, African American Cultural Celebration, and Longleaf Film Festival.
Conservation + Preservation: efforts towards these two fundamental responsibilities of any museum are crucial and costly. The Foundation seeks to conserve those objects that are donated or collected while working to keep artifacts important to North Carolina’s story in our state for visitors to enjoy and learn from.
