(SOLD OUT) Dar He: The Story of Emmett Till

Saturday, Jun. 1, 7–9 p.m.

Presenter: Mike Wiley, Actor and Playwright

We are pleased to announce this encore public performance by Mike Wiley of the FULL-LENGTH (80-minute) production of Dar He: The Story of Emmett Till. Wiley plays a variety of characters in this dramatization of events surrounding the murder of 14-year-old Emmett Till, an act that became a lightning rod for moral outrage and inspired a generation of young people to commit to social change in the 1950s. All profits from this show will go toward the 19th annual African American Cultural Celebration—a free, family event that serves as the state-wide kick-off to Black History Month.
