First Ladies and the Politics of Fashion

Thursday, May 31, 6:30 p.m.

Speaker: Annette Dunlap, Author and Historian

Throughout our nation’s history, First Ladies have been the object of both admiration and criticism when it comes to their clothes. Whether the style, the color, or the designer, we Americans have always had a thing or two to say about how the wives of our presidents dress.

Join us for our last program related to The Shape of Fashion exhibit, when Dunlap provides a fun and informative talk about the fashion choices of our First Ladies—and the interesting stories behind some of the people who designed their clothes. The exhibit will be open before and after the lecture, kicking off its final weekend!

$8 per person; $5 for MOHA/museum members. Refunds are available up until 7 days before the event!
