Sunday, September 10, 2–4 p.m.
Presenter: Andrew Carroll, Author and Director, Center for American War Letters, Chapman University
Carroll will discuss his latest book, My Fellow Soldiers: General John Pershing and the Americans Who Helped Win the Great War, and his Million Letters Campaign, which seeks to preserve at least 1 million war-related correspondences from every conflict in US history, from handwritten missives penned during the American Revolution to e-mails sent from Iraq and Afghanistan.
A Q&A session and book signing follow the presentation, and anyone with war-related letters they are willing to share (either originals or photocopies) with Carroll are encouraged to bring them to the event.
