Music of the Carolinas: Strictly Strings

Sunday, October 8, 3 p.m.

Free tickets for this concert are distributed while they last beginning at 2 p.m.

Strictly Strings, a group of young musicians from Boone, is no longer strictly strings!

Focused on the genres of old-time, bluegrass, Irish, and swing, the musicians of Strictly Strings are Kathleen Burnett on fiddle, guitar, and vocals; Anissa Burnett (also a member of the Burnett Sisters Family Band) on fiddle, bass, banjo, guitar, and vocals; Willow Dillon on fiddle, cello, banjo, and vocals; and Caleb Coatney on mandolin, guitar, and clawhammer banjo. The group’s organizer and mentor, Cecil Gurganus, plays rhythm guitar and sings.

Presented with PineCone and support from MOHA/museum members. Join MOHA before or after the concert—for half-price museum membership! In addition, enter our raffle for a prize from the Museum Shop (winner will be drawn at December’s concert and need not be present).
