World War I Film Series: Paths of Glory (1957)

Friday, September 1, 5–9 p.m.

See the exhibit North Carolina and World War I, and stay for Paths of Glory at 6:30 p.m., a look back at the trench warfare of World War I.

Kirk Douglas stars in an acclaimed role (directed by Stanley Kubrick) as a commander of French soldiers. Critics Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert once called Paths of Glory “one of the all-time great films.”

On our lobby level, the Museum Shop will be open (until 8 p.m.) and beer samples from Mystery Brewing in Hillsborough will be available (while they last). From 5–9 p.m., the food truck So Good Pupusas will be parked on Edenton St., right outside the museum.  Check our social media platforms for more information.
