Our North Carolina Museum of History is the steward of that vision, and its goal is clear--to make our museum the best in the Southeast, a world-class facility where history comes alive for all generations.
There are many ways to measure success at museums, but they all boil down to reaching new audiences while sustaining existing ones in our educational mission. The Museum of History is embarking on a bold plan to capture the future, and to be the best, most exciting and most relevant place for chronicling the North Carolina experience.
The museum is seeking your support to build a dynamic new addition and expand exhibition space in the existing structure. These improvements will excite and encourage the public to enter the museum, engage visitors with fun and thought-provoking exhibitions and education programs, expand the capacity to teach about the state’s heritage and historical treasures, and leave a lasting impression on visitors that will encourage them to return.
