Join us for a special screening of this 30-minute documentary of North Carolina’s Vietnam story about the lasting effects of the Vietnam War, including the war’s impact on survivors. The project was produced in conjunction with The Wall That Heals, a traveling three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that will visit two North Carolina communities in 2022. Of the 58,000 Americans who died in Vietnam, more than 1,600 men and one woman hailed from North Carolina. The film features an all-star lineup of narrators, including Joe Mantegna, Scotty McCreery, Beth Leavel, Sharon Lawrence, and John Tesh.
The documentary was made with the support of the NC Museum of History, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, and the USMC’s 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band. Financial support was provided by the North Carolina Humanities Council and the National Endowment of the Arts.
