A Call to Arms was a permanent exhibit located on the third floor. It was closed to make way for Answering the Call, which opened in April 2021.
This overview of North Carolina’s military heritage featured items from the Civil War, World War I, World War II, Vietnam, and Iraq. Artifacts on display included fragments from a National Guard truck damaged in Iraq in 2004 and a POW bracelet from the Vietcong.
