Parking Instructions
The North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA) has two entrances located off Blue Ridge Road at Reedy Creek Road (the main entrance) and District Drive.
Blue Ridge Road is accessible from many different directions:
From the West: Exit I-40 East at exit 289 to merge onto Wade Ave towards I-440, US-1 North. Then exit onto Blue Ridge Road toward State Fairgrounds, NC Military Center.
From All Other Directions: Exit I-440 at exit 3C-B-A to merge onto Wade Ave toward I-40 West. Keep right toward Carter-Finley Stadium, Lenovo Center. Take the exit onto Blue Ridge Road.
NCMA’s main parking lot is located between the two entrances and is directly visible from Blue Ridge Road.
The overflow parking lot is located behind the West Building, which can be accessed by turning left after entering the museum drive and following the road to behind around the museum buildings.
Parking at NCMA is free. ADA-compliant parking is available.
Note: The ADA-compliant parking spaces between the West Building and the East Building will be closed during the event for planned activities.
Additional Transportation
By Greenway: The NCMA parking lot is a shared lot for the Reedy Creek Trail, which is part of the Capital Area Greenway.
By Bike: A Cardinal Bikeshare kiosk is located at the Reedy Creek Road entrance. Rent a bike to ride the paved trails.
By Bus: Bus stops are located at both Reedy Creek Road and District Drive entrances. See the Go Raleigh Blue Ridge Road Bus Schedule.
By Rideshare: Visitor drop-off is located between West and East buildings and can be reached by turning left after entering the museum drive and following the signs.
