The 25th Annual African American Cultural Celebration
The African American Cultural Celebration will be held on Saturday, February 28 in celebration of Black History Month. Please note, this event was rescheduled from January 31 to February 28 due to weather-related concerns.
This year marks 25 years that this celebration has brought together African American community members, organizations, authors, artists, musicians, filmmakers, scholars, and more, around a central theme to highlight the contributions that African Americans, past and present, have made to North Carolina’s history and culture. Multiple demonstrations, presentations, and performances reach thousands of people.
A virtual Education Day for the Cultural Celebration on the preceding Friday was added in 2022.
