ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – The Museum of the Albemarle will host our second monthly History for Lunch on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 12 p.m. in the Gaither Auditorium. Local journalist and author Jeff Hampton tells the stories of the wild horses of Corolla and their protectors, from roaming the Currituck Outer Banks for nearly five hundred years to the last four decades of dramatic changes in the area due to tourism bringing increased visitors and more traffic. The Corolla Wild Horse Fund will be available to share information on how locally we can continue to preserve this important part of outdoor history.

The Museum will offer the History for Lunch in-person and through Zoom. Register in advance through the Museum’s Facebook page or website to receive a link to attend the lecture virtually.
